Welcome! It’s DAY ONE of Vacation Bible School! At 0800 hours, our Shuttle Bugs (Kids) ventured to Panoramic Point for their first opening rally! We began today’s adventure with showing patriotism to our country by singing the national anthem; Negaraku, followed by our Malaysian pledge; Rukun Negara, and a Bible Pledge. We then had a warm welcome by our Church Elder, Dr. Peter Ng. Later, our Music Team performed the theme song and Day One song; In The Wild, and Why He Came, respectively. Surely this was a spectacular opening for our first day into the wild!
After that, the little Shuttle Bugs are brought to the Watering Hole (Classroom), where they learn about Jesus encounter in the temple when he was young boy. Today’s lesson was taught by our Wildlife Specialist (Teachers). Here, Jesus shared about God and he showed great understanding of it, even at a young age. At 0920, the timers ticked and our Shuttlers are off to their rotation sites. The Kindy and Nursery classes began their journey at the Hungry Hippo Hideout (Snacks) where they regain their energy with Homemade Meatball and Spaghetti. Next, the Standard (Std.) One’s and Two’s climbed to Panoramic Point (Music) to learn the moves and groves of the song, introduced at today’s opening! The Std. Three’s and Four’s then took the challenge in creating their own Hippo Bookmarks at the Cockatoo Canopy (Craft). Lastly our oldest group, the Std. Five’s and Six’s sweat it out at Beluga Bay (Recreation). Today they had to figure their way out through three courses in our very own Temple Run. These were the rotational sites for this year’s VBS! At 1200, the timers ticked again and our Shuttle Bugs are back to their respective watering holes to cooldown and recollect the adventures that they had learnt today. Finally, the Shuttle Bugs heads to Panoramic Point for the closing assembly at followed by dismissal. Check out today's pictures in the gallery! VBS 2019, Day 1, 25 November 2019.
